We’re looking for passionate, skilled players who share our love of the sport. Whether you’re an experienced player or a newbie, we welcome players from all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels. Our team is built around good people who are committed to sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth both on and off the rink. 8 Week Sessions
Our program consists of eight weekly one-hour sessions, with a curriculum that includes a variety of learning exercises, exciting games, and opportunities for students to improve their hockey skills.
Experienced Coaches
Our experienced coaches and staff are well-trained and vaccinated, ensuring that our program is safe and enjoyable for all participants. Our coaches have a passion for teaching children and are committed to helping each child reach their full potential.
Low Student to Coach Ratio
With a low 16 to 1 student to coach ratio, we are able to provide personalized attention to each child, ensuring that they receive the guidance and support they need to succeed. This ratio also ensures that our program is safe and that each child receives the attention they deserve.
Affordable
Compared to the cost of ice hockey, our street hockey program is an affordable alternative that does not sacrifice any of the fundamentals of the game. With all of the necessary equipment provided, our program is a cost-effective way for children to learn and enjoy the game of hockey.

Our focus on skills will help our students at any level to improve their game. Our coaches have hockey experience in areas ranging from passing and shooting to stick handling and teamwork. Whether they are beginners or experienced players, our students can become the best they can be.

From the founders
Dear Parents and Students of Hockey Kidz Academy,
We want to take a moment to introduce ourselves as the founders of Hockey Kidz Academy. Our names are Parker Kalmen and Alex Bryant, and we are passionate about providing a positive and educational experience for young hockey players.
We both have extensive experience in the hockey world. Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development, which gives him a deep understanding of how to foster growth and learning in children. Alex is a Lead Operations Engineer in the tech business, which allows him to bring a technical and analytical approach to our organization.
Since the age of 6, we have been playing roller hockey and have developed a love for the sport. Our shared passion and commitment to teamwork inspired us to start our own roller hockey organization, the Terrapins Roller Hockey Club. Through this venture, we have seen the positive impact that organized sports can have on children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
That’s why we decided to start Hockey Kidz Academy – to give young athletes the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment. We are excited about the opportunity to work with your child and to help them reach their full potential.

Additionally, we are committed to growing the game of hockey by introducing it to new players and communities. We believe that hockey is a sport for everyone and we are dedicated to promoting inclusivity and diversity in our programs.
